Mr & Mrs Cartwrights
Glass Roof Conservatory With Bi-folding Doors
An indoor setting with a distinctly outdoor-like ambience.
The Cartwrights had long wanted to have a more luxurious dining space and with their kids now older, it was time to realise that dream.
When they first purchased their house 8 years ago, it came with an impressive kitchen-come-diner, but things have moved on since then. It wasn’t as bright and airy as they wanted it to be, and they also wished they had a better external view from it. What it required was a new venue with lots of windows and glass to establish that outdoor feel.
It wasn’t until they talked to us that they discovered the full extent of what was possible. A happy coincidence was that we had an extension that closely met their requirements, helping them visualise what could be done.
The know-how of our design consultants blew the pair away and got them very excited about becoming conservatory owners. They were told about every possible option for the extension so that they could personalise the conservatory down to the most minute details and fully incorporate their personality into the final design.
With so many glazed facets, some may worry this type of conservatory may be subject to overheating, but the Cartwrights will tell you that it never occurs. They get a lot of use out of the bi-folding doors, often leaving them open when taking breakfast in the conservatory and gazing at the garden through the gap they create.
